A little history

The Hôtel de la Vallée de l'Arc, a former Relais de Poste from the 18th century, initially called “the hostellerie du Grand Logis”, took the name “Hôtel de France” with Honoré Dubois in 1862, who bought it from the Marquis Forbin d 'Oppède. The Dubois family will have given over three generations several famous characters: his father, Jean-Antoine Dubois, will be cook to Napoleon Bonaparte, his cousin, Urbain, will be initiated into the kitchen at the “Hôtel de France” before climbing all the levels. of the profession.
